All I was looking for was a simple plugin for WordPress that would allow me to rotate my ads randomly on the page, and I found the perfect tool. It’s called Ad Rotator, and it’s available on the Simple Thoughts blog.
All you need to do is download this plugin (the link is on the second page), copy it to the right directory and activate it. Then you create text files with the groups of ads you want to randomly serve. I created two different sets — text ads and banners. The ads can come from different affiliate networks, Adsense, Yahoo or anywhere else. All you need to do is get the code on one line and put it in the file.
Then you add a simple one command script to the pages where you want the ads to appear, and the plugin randomly chooses an ad to serve each time. Works like a charm.
