Mook-Jon’s advice - Keep It Simple
You remember our friend Mook-Jon. He’s the guy who posted the now famous screen shot of his Commission Junction account balance. He’s been very successful online, and he writes a great blog.
Jon’s current blog entry is about implementing the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) method in your project management. Jon is planning to launch many sites in the coming months, and he exhorts his readers to do the same. I know a lot of you have no intentions of launching massive projects, but there really isn’t any reason why you shouldn’t, or even can’t. If you have time for one site you have time for a hundred.
Jon suggests that you find a structure for your sites that you can re-use, a framework of sorts. Having trouble coming up with a theme — go outside and look around. Step outside for 20 minutes and look around. Everything that exists in our society is part of some type of business niche. Make a list of everything you see, and start researching it online. Familiarize yourself with the top 5 niche industries you’ve picked.
Jon then chooses lawn care as his subject and gets into site design and creating volume. The post is well worth a read.
